Rabat - The African magazine Answers Africa has ranked Princess Lalla Salma, wife of Morocco’s King Mohammed VI, as Africa’s most beautiful First Lady in 2015.
Answers Africa has recently released its 2015 list of Ten Most Beautiful African First Ladies, ranking Princess Lalla Salma at the top of the list.
“Lalla Salma’s beauty is conspicuous and needs no further hyping… Princess Lalla Salma is just a goddess,” the magazine wrote.
Aisha Buhari, wife of Nigeria’s President Muhammadu Buhari ranked second on the list. She is followed by Chantal Biya, wife of the Cameroonian president.
First Lady of Ivory Coast, Dominique Ouattara landed the fourth spot, ahead of Sylvia Bongo Ondimba, wife of Gabon’s President Ali Bongo, who ranked fifth.
Kenya’s First Lady Margaret Gakuo Kenyatta, on the other hand, ranked last (10th) on the list.
In March 2015, Princess Lalla Salma was selected by the African website AfricaCradle, popular reference site among African people, Africa’s most beautiful First Lady.
“Physically as well as intellectually, Lalla Salma is beautiful. She has a beautiful face crowned with red hair, and holds a degree in Engineering,” said AfricaCradle.
In addition to her acclaimed elegance, the Moroccan First Lady is involved in many philanthropic activities in the Kingdom and abroad, especially in health research.
Driven by humanitarian motives, Princess Lalla Salma founded the “Lalla Salma Foundation – Prevention and Treatment of Cancers” in 2005,a non-profit organization working to “make the fight against cancer a public health priority”.
In October 2014, the American website “Richest Lifestyle”, ranked the Princess at the top of its 2014 list of the Most Beautiful First Ladies in Africa. It also ranked her third place in World’s Most Beautiful First Ladies.
