Marrakech - A producer has bought the rights to make a motion picture based on Leila Slimani's book "In the Garden of the Ogre," which won the sixth edition of Mamounia literary prize.

There is no information about when the shooting of the film will start or the name of the actress in the leading role.

The book was written by Franco-Moroccan journalist Leila Slimani, who lives in Paris, and released on August 21, 2014.

Slimani’s book has been very successful in French bookstores thanks to the vintage feather, hustling representation and clichés that can be found in women.

The book tells the story of Adele, a young Parisian journalist who tries combining her devouring sexual urges with her family life, which is tidy in appearance.

This literary work, which addresses female sexual addiction, earned the majority of the jury's votes to win the Mamounia Prize on September 19, 2015.

Apart from the unquestionable talent of the author's writing, the book's interest also lies in the fact that for the first time in history, a Moroccan dares to treat a taboo subject worldwide.

In an interview with H24info, Leila Slimani said that "there are no taboos in literature," addressing the writers’ freedom to express their minds without being scared of anything or anyone.
