New York - American luxury-lifestyle magazine “Robb Report” ranked Marrakech in its top 10 list of the world’s 21 most popular luxury destinations.
Morocco’s ‘Red City’ has become the most awarded and talked about destination in the country, as well as one of the most favored places for the rich and famous to visit.
The ‘Pearl of the South’ does not cease to earn recognitions from the world’s top publications praising its luxurious accommodations, world-class entertainment, five-star services, landscaped gardens, and exclusive sites, among others.
“Robb Report” has joined the list of Marrakech enthusiasts providing its readers with an exclusive highlight of the city’s Moroccan splendor, in its latest issue.
Marrakech continues to expand beyond the city center into the desert, thus, diversifying the city’s traditional style and creating a gamma of colors and tastes to please locals and tourists alike.
The ‘Red City’s’ keeps up dazzling visitors with its top classifications proving that its acclamation is well deserved.
From its world-renowned medina, its Moroccan ‘riads’, and “best in the world” hotels – “La Mamounia”, “Royal Mansour” and “Mandarin Oriental” – Marrakech is booming and surfacing at the top of the world’s best categories.
“The Palmeraie” neighborhood, famous for its several resorts, just outside of the city center has opened two more locations, according to the magazine.
The exclusive Palais Namaskar from the Oetker Collection and the elegant equestrian oasis Selman Marrakech.
“Mandarin Oriental, Marrakech”, which opened last October "in the heart of olive groves and golf courses surrounded by palm trees," earned global recognition as “world’s best new luxury hotel in 2015” by American digital magazine “Luxury Travel Intelligence.”
The ‘Ochre City’ and its suburbs continue to attract international investors. Also in the palms neighborhood, the 13-acre Amanjena reopened after a three-month renovation, which will include 12 residences of 19,275 square-feet each, “Robb Report” revealed.
Thirteen miles from the heart of the ‘Ochre City’, the Grace Marrakech will open in 2016 just outside of Tameslouht, a mountainous region.
Moreover, according to the "New York Times" in its Tuesday issue, the Moroccan Atlantic coast is now regarded at the same level as Morocco’s highly-acclaimed Mediterranean coast.
The Atlantic coast is expected to attract the same world-class foreign investors as Morocco’s Mediterranean beaches, thus "promis[ing] that Morocco’s second coast is ready to boom,” the same source noted.
"Already, a boutique hotel chain opened on the [Atlantic] coast, giving travelers more than one reason to make a stop," the newspaper said.
Morocco’s Atlantic coast’s “Plan Azur” devises "the development of resorts that will add to those of Agadir, already very popular with tourists," the same source added.
