Rabat - Morocco’s Foreign Minister, Salaheddine Mezouar, was caught on tape dancing to the rhythms of the Australian rapper Amethyst Amelia Kelly, known professionally as Iggy Azalea, during her performance in the Mawazine Festival, at the stage of the OLM Souissi in Rabat.
The Moroccan minister was seen in casual clothes shaking his head to the beats of the rap music that engulfed the OLM Souissi in Rabat.
He was filming the Australian rapper with his iPhone 6 while she was performing.
The performance of Azalea was widely reported to be a success. In attendance were prominent politicians and businessmen, including Loic Morin, CEO of Sopriam, the exclusive importer and distributor of Peugeot and Citroën in Morocco.
In a short video posted Friday on the festival’s official Facebook page, the Australian rapper was filmed browsing traditional sandals at the entrance of shops in Rabat.
In an interview with The National, Azalea said that she loves Morocco’s interior design and that she bought some rugs.
"I bought like 10 rugs. I really love interior design. I am very lucky that I have a big house, and I have a lot of different rooms that I can go crazy with. I have been seeing a lot of different craftsmen, vases, and pottery and go buy [sic] something for my home."
