Rabat - Dominic Purcell, one of the stars of the famous television series Prison Break, posted photos of him during a recent trip to Morocco.

The filming of the next season of the series will take place in Casablanca, Ouarzazate, and Rabat. The Moroccan Cinematographic Center (CCM) said on its official website that the shooting will continue until June 17, 2016.

Prison Break was created by Paul Scheuring and ran for four seasons between 2005 and 2009, before going off the air. This year, nine new episodes will be produced and then released in 2017.

In the new episodes, which take place five years after the conclusion of the series, Michael Scofield is shown alive but imprisoned in Yemen.

Morocco has become the to-go place for some of the most well-known movies in the world.

Many Academy Award-winning movies have been shot here, such as 007 Spectre, Indigènes, Inception, Rock the Kasbah, and Gladiator.
