The famous American R & B and pop music icon Rihanna will sing during the opening ceremony of the 12th edition of the Mawazine Festival, Rhythms of the World.
According to the festival’s website, the most popular celebrity on the social networking site Facebook with more than 68.5 million fans, will perform on Friday, May 25 at 9:45 p.m. in OLM Souissi stage in Rabat.
Ticket prices for the Rihana concert is fixed at 1,200 drhs ($150) which is the most expensive concert of the 12th edition of the Mawazine Festival, ahead of even Enrique Iglesias at 800 drhs ($93).
The global superstar began her world tour, called ''Diamond World Tour” on March 8 in the U.S. The tour, which will end on July 28 in Finland, includes her performance in Mawazine on May 25.
Winner of six Grammy Awards, seven Billboard Music Awards, Rihanna is undoubtedly one of the most influential celebrities of her generation.
It is noteworthy that the famous South Korean singerPark Jae-Song, well known for his song “Gangnam style”, will perform for the closing ceremony, but festival management has still not set a price for the Psy’s concert.
