The Faculty of Letters and Humanities Ben M’sik (Hassan II-Mohammedia University) organizes the 19th edition of the International Video Art festival in Casablanca.
The opening of the festival took place yesterday April 23 at Ben M’sik Faculty of Letters and Humanities, in the presence of Moroccan university students and professors, video professionals from Morocco, and international participants from various corners of the world.
This year’s edition sees the participation of video arts professionals and university students from a a number of foreign countries, namely USA, Canada, South Korea, Romania, Tunisia, Serbia, France, Belgium, Bulgaria, Germany, Colombia, the United Kingdom, Netherlands, and many more.
“The International Video Art Festival continues to be an important event in the city of Casablanca, bringing together artists and people who believe in the importance of creating a useful and better future,” stated Mr. Abdelmajid Kaddouri, Dean of the Ben M’sik Faculty of Letters and Humanities and president of the festival.
“The festival is a vital meeting place for this category of artists, which has given it a national and international reputation,” added Dr. Kaddouri.

The festival also offers free workshops to people interested in getting closer to and learning more about the field of video arts. Professional audiovisual artists and video art university students from varying nations and with differing backgrounds in the domain run those free workshops.
