Paris - Rabat, an imperial and UNESCO world heritage city, wants to make a name to itself as a world city of culture, writes French weekly Jeune Afrique.
In an article entitled "Morocco's Capital dreams of Being an International City of Culture and Knowledge" the magazine adds that Rabat already has many cultural attractions such as the Moroccan National Library (BNRM), the Mohammed V Theater, Bab Rouah exhibition Hall and the 2.6 million audience Mawazine Festival.
This cultural momentum is the result of HM King Mohammed VI's willingness to transform the Kingdom's capital into an international cultural capital in the manner of other world's famous cultural cities such as Paris, Rome or London.
