Rabat - On Monday May 23, the audience at Rabat’s Mawazine Festival was in for a pleasant surprise when it excitingly danced and sang along to Maitre Gîms’ most famous hits at the OLM Souissi venue.
Appreciative of the Moroccan culture and hospitality, the French-Congolese artist expressed how thankful he was for King Mohamed VI’s involvement in the development of the African continent, and did not hesitate to declare his love for the Kingdom, saying that he “fell in love with Morocco.”
The singer appeared on stage with a Moroccan flag, and asked the audience to sing the Moroccan National Anthem. The audience did not hold back, following each other’s lead while patriotically singing along. The artist then thanked the audience for such an enjoyable show.
Maître Gîms took to social media to continue expressing his enjoyment of his stay in Morocco, appearing with a Moroccan flag over his shoulders on his Instagram account.
